My professional journey has taken me from traditional finance roles to backend development and AI implementation:

Finance to Technology Transition

After establishing a successful career in financial accounting at companies like Knight Frank, CBRE, and JLL, I discovered my passion for automation and efficiency. What started as simple SQL queries to improve reporting soon evolved into a deeper interest in programming and backend development.

The pivotal moment came during my time at JLL, where my initiative in developing SQL skills transformed a contract role into a permanent position with career advancement opportunities. This experience showed me the power of combining domain expertise with technical capabilities.

Backend Development Focus

Throughout my technical journey, I've primarily focused on backend development and automation:

  • Started with SQL to enhance financial reporting and data processing
  • Self-taught Python to automate repetitive accounting tasks and build robust ETL pipelines
  • Developed expertise in AI integration (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude) for processing documents, images, and unstructured data
  • Built multiple backend systems and APIs that solve real business problems
  • Recently expanded into web development to bring my backend tools to life through accessible interfaces

Important Note: This website actually represents my first serious attempt at frontend development! Prior to this, my focus has always been on building robust backend systems, APIs, and automation tools. I'm excited to now be bringing my backend capabilities to the web through this portfolio site.

As the founder of LostMind AI, I'm building a suite of applications that demonstrate how AI can transform business processes, particularly in finance and property management.
